Want to experience a lot of Northern Arizona in a small amount of time (only 10 hours!)? On our combination ADVENTURE + TASTING Tour you will see and experience four of the most interesting parts of Northern Arizona all in one day!
We’ll start the day from Sedona, Cottonwood or Prescott. From here we head to Watson Lake near Prescott, a beautiful setting with large granite domes rising straight out of the water! This is where we will rock climb, paddleboard, kayak or rappel depending on your selection. This is an incredible place for all types of recreation, and is not to be missed!
Next, we’ll head up and over Mingus Mountain in the Black Hills to a historic mining town called Jerome for lunch. This town is known as one of the premier Ghost Towns of North America, and has a fascinating history. Not to mention, it’s perched on the side of a steep mountainside and has some of the most impressively windy roads in Arizona! Definitely worth a stop, and a great place to take in a view of the Verde Valley while chowing down.
After lunch we will coast down the mountain and into the Verde Valley, where the Verde River and Oak Creek connect and create a lush and beautiful valley that has just recently had a rejuvenation/renaissance of sorts for its impressive wine culture! The area around Page Springs is especially beautiful and is producing some fine estate-grown wines. And this valley is only 30 minutes from Sedona!
After two wine tastings at local vineyards we’ll head back up the Oak Creek drainage to the beautiful red rock town of Sedona (unless returning to Prescott). This place is a center for spiritual energy, and just generally one of the most beautiful places on the planet! It will be a welcoming sight coming back into the town after a day of exploring some of the other incredible places Arizona has to offer.
If you’re wanting to get a truly full bodied experience of Arizona life, this tour will surely deliver! You’ll head home with a sense of awe at how truly diverse this small pocket of Northern Arizona is, as well as with great memories from your day of adventure and exploration here in the Grand Canyon State. Hope to see you soon!
